I have blogged before about the importance of updating your family portrait and my top 5 reasons why everyone should do so.  It is always a great honor to see returning clients so I can help them create up-to-date portraits of their family while here on vacation on Hilton Head Island.

Most clients tend to invest in large wall portraits for their home so they can relive the time they spent at the beach every day when they walk by their portrait at home.  Typically, I do not see the same families each season, even though I would love to :)  Some clients return every 4 years, others it may be 10 years in between.  I met the Fisher family at our first beach portrait session back in 2010 (see images from that session below) they returned this year to update their family portraits.  The children, Tommy, Ashley, and Luke have grown and have changed so much over the past 6 years...and there was also a new addition to the extended family, little Kate, the daughter of Susan & Scott.  It was definitely time to create a new up-to-date portrait of the family and what better time to do so when they were together on a family vacation this June on Hilton Head!

A few of the family portraits that were selected by the family below; the portrait of the three children was finished as a 16x20 wall portrait to replace the outdated one and is now displayed in the Fisher Family home.  Wouldn't you love to display a portrait from Hilton head of your family as a 16x20 or larger?  Or imagine a 30x40 on the wall of your home...not just a small 8x10.  But wait!  You wouldn't have to IMAGINE how that would look...I can SHOW you at your next portrait session! Call me and I can tell you how!

Preserve your Family History with a Family Portrait.  This should be your number one reason for updating your family portrait, to pass onto your children and their family.  My prized possessions are my portraits of my grandparents with myself and my sister...or with my parents when they were children.  What will your children have?
